About

About BaZi Report

We build modern, careful, multilingual tools for classical Chinese metaphysics — BaZi, ZiWeiDouShu, name analysis, feng shui, and adjacent traditions — with no fortune-telling theatrics.

Mission

BaZi Report makes traditional Chinese metaphysics easier to inspect without presenting it as verified prediction. We connect named historical sources, transparent calculations or declared editorial heuristics, plain-language explanations, practical evidence, and clear limits. A classical citation establishes cultural context; it does not prove a claim about a person's future.

Approach

Each published calculator identifies whether it transcribes a traditional table or calendar rule, implements an established chart convention, or uses a modern editorial heuristic. Deterministic means the same declared inputs and rules return the same result; it does not make a custom score classical or empirically validated. The current reviewed public flow does not call an external AI model, and any future AI-assisted narrative must be labelled separately from the underlying calculation.

Content review & editorial guidelines

Every published guide goes through the following process: 1. We identify which statements describe a traditional framework and which are practical, observable suggestions 2. We review terminology, calculations, internal consistency, and readability in each supported language 3. We remove guaranteed outcomes and label metaphysical interpretations as cultural reference rather than fact 4. We show publication and update dates so readers can judge how current a guide is 5. Medical, legal, financial, and psychological decisions are left to qualified professionals

Sources and corrections

Article source lists separate classical references from modern practical guidance. A link to an agency such as the EPA, NIH/NHLBI, ASPCA, or CCOHS supports only the stated environmental, safety, sleep, plant, or ergonomics point; it never implies that the agency endorses feng shui. Readers can report a citation, translation, or factual problem through /contact. We review the page, correct confirmed errors, and update the displayed revision date when the substance changes.

Languages

Every tool ships in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. English and Simplified Chinese are maintained as parallel editions rather than word-for-word machine translation; the Traditional Chinese edition is converted from the Simplified text and reviewed for readability. The classical source material was written in literary Chinese, so we treat the Chinese editions as closest to the canonical text and English as a careful adaptation.

What we won't do

We won't tell you when you'll get married, how long you'll live, what stock to buy, or whether your child should choose a particular career. We explain what a named traditional method or declared heuristic produces, show the uncertainty and contrary evidence to retain, and leave real decisions to the people affected and the appropriate qualified professionals.
